Please book your travel and accommodations as soon as possible. Consult the Agenda at a Glance to see when to arrive and depart, but try not to miss a moment of our full two main-conference days. Please check the conference website for updates and follow us on LinkedIn for the most up-to-date information.

Accommodation

For accommodations closest to the main conference (25 E Pearson St, Chicago, IL 60611), please follow the below directions below for our room block at Loyola’s Baumhart Hall, which is directly across the street from the conference. While financial realities preclude us from a traditional hotel room block, Baumhart Hall has budget-friendly options that we hope will be helpful for our community. Note that the main conference is excellently located for local, high-quality public transportation, so you are welcome to book elsewhere to suit your preferences and budget. Baumhart Hall offers suites (run year-round as a hotel) and apartments (graduate student housing available during breaks).

Lodging Options @ Baumhart Hall:
  • Two-Bedroom suite | Each private bedroom is equipped with a queen bed, has its own bath, and shares a common living space with kitchen. Suites can accommodate 2–4 people.
    $320/night for one whole suite
  • One bedroom in a two-bedroom suite | The guest in the other bedroom would be from your conference and same gender. Once both guests have booked, you can request each other via email. Each bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and can accommodate 1–2 people.
$177.00/night for one bedroom in a shared suite

Other Downtown Chicago Hotels:

Looking for more of a traditional hotel vibe? Check out the options on Loyola’s Water Tower Campus guide page. On April 22, 2026, there were still some decently priced options at Hotel Felix ($280/night) and Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile ($320/night). Book ’em while you can! Both options are within a few blocks of Kasbeer Hall. Don’t forget to leverage any discounted booking options from your home institution or discount travel sites. You may even look at hotels a little further away and plan to take a quick CTA train ride to Kasbeer Hall. $2.50/ride gets you to the Chicago Red Line stop, literally around the corner from the conference.

Airports

If you’re traveling to Chicago by air, you can fly into either O’Hare International Airport (ORD) or Midway International Airport (MDW), both of which handle plenty of domestic flights from across the U.S. O’Hare is the larger airport with more flight options, while Midway is smaller and often quicker to get through. From either airport, it’s easy to reach the downtown conference locations using taxis, rideshares, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) trains, or the Metra commuter rail.

Train

If you prefer rail travel, Amtrak provides convenient service into downtown Chicago, arriving at Chicago Union Station. Union Station is centrally located, making it easy to reach most conference venues by taxi, rideshare, or public transit.
